Welcome to Glome Society! By purchasing a ticket and attending our events, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before completing your registration.
Event Registration and Ticket Purchase
Ticket Purchase: Registration for our events is made through the purchase of a ticket via our online shop. Payment is processed through Lu.ma and Stripe’s payment system.
Age Restriction: You must be 18 years or older to attend our events.
Event Changes and Cancellations
Changes: In the event that the date of an event must be changed due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., speaker cancellations or venue issues), we will reschedule the event and issue you a new ticket for the updated date.
Refund Option: If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund by contacting us.
Organizer Cancellations: If Glome Society cancels the event entirely, you will receive a full refund of your ticket purchase.
Refund Policy
Non-Refundable Tickets: Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your ticket to someone else by notifying us with the new attendee’s name, and we will update our system.
Extreme Conditions: In extreme cases, such as serious health issues, we may offer a refund if you provide a doctor’s note as proof.
Ticket Transfer: While we do not offer refunds for standard cancellations, we plan to introduce a ticket swap functionality in the future to simplify transferring tickets.
No-Show Policy
No Fees for No-Shows: If you do not attend the event after purchasing a ticket, no additional fees will apply. However, we are not responsible for missed attendance and no refunds will be issued.
Payments and Fees
Payment Processing: All payments for tickets are handled securely through Lu.ma and Stripe. Your purchase is subject to their terms and conditions.
Refunds: Any refunds due to event changes or extreme conditions will be processed through the same payment method used during the purchase.
Liability
Organizer’s Liability: Glome Society is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event unless caused by gross negligence. Attendees assume full responsibility for their participation.
Third-Party Services: We are not responsible for the actions or services of third-party vendors (e.g., venue providers or caterers) involved in our events.
Force Majeure: We are not responsible for cancellations or changes caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics).
Code of Conduct
Attendee Behavior: We expect all attendees to behave respectfully toward others. Glome Society reserves the right to remove individuals who disrupt the event or violate our code of conduct.
Recording and Photography: By attending our events, you consent to being photographed or recorded, and understand that these materials may be used for promotional purposes.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in connection with our events.
Intellectual Property
Event Content: All content presented during our events, including presentations and workshops, is the intellectual property of Glome Society or the respective speakers. Attendees may not reproduce, distribute, or use event materials without permission.
Branding and Trademarks: Glome Society reserves the rights to its name, logos, and branding. Any use of these without prior permission is prohibited.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by German law. Any disputes related to these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of German courts.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated to you, and your continued participation in our events will signify acceptance of the updated terms.
